Pomona's Parks have been involved in "After School Recreation" at various parks around the city. 13 out of the 27 Parks hold the after school program for children and teens. The program provides the oppurtunity for the children and youth to participate in activities of health and fitness, arts and crafts, sports and games, contests, trips, special events, homework assistance, movies, and more.

Park's Recycling - Twice a year Polamares Park becomes a recycling dropoff center where the community can bring their bulky items, electronics, batteries, and other materials safe from contaminating other items.
